what is the financial wellness center?

Skyla's Financial Wellness Center is dedicated to supporting members facing a range of financial challenges. Through personalized guidance on budgeting, saving, credit, and debt management, the center empowers members to take control of their finances and work toward lasting stability.

Our 3 focus areas of financial wellness, economic mobility, and housing stability makes our Goodwill Opportunity Campus location the perfect spot to launch this program!

The financial wellness of our members and communities is a key priority. A strong foundation of financial literacy can affect present and generational change in the financial security of families.

economic mobility

We aim to support education, certifications, and training to create more pathways to sustainable income for individuals and families. We know that having access to income both meet basic needs and creates self-sufficiency in our communities.

housing stability

From availability to affordability, housing is a challenge across the Skyla footprint. The cost burden of sustaining housing creates challenges with juggling other expenses, such as childcare, food, or transportation.

Skyla Credit Union's Financial Wellness Center is here to support members facing financial challenges. Referred Skyla members meet with the Financial Wellness Center team (in-person or virtually) for financial counseling.

Our approach combines elements from various wellness models to create a personalized, well-rounded plan for each member. At Skyla, we're committed to helping all members grow their financial strength!

Currently, the program is focused on members facing significant financial challenges and is by referral only. We're working to expand services, aiming to offer support to all members soon.
